Ladies Thursday Club - Spring 2017

We meet at  7.30  in the church vestry of St Peter's Church, ladies pay £1.50 per meeting

this includes refreshments and a raffle draw. All ladies are welcome to join us.

                    

Cockett Mother`s Union

                               Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month at  2.30

                               Meetings are held in the vestry hall at St Peter`s church, visitors and new members

                                can be guaranteed a warm welcome.


St Illtyd's Ladies Guild

                                We meet every Wednesday evening in St Illtyd's hall at 2.30pm,

                 Please come along and join us we are a friendly group and usually have a speaker. We always have a chat and a warming cup of coffee or tea.

Keys Club Meeting

(Mens Group)

Every 2nd Monday of the Month

 The Key’s Club, which was formed over 50 years ago, is the Men’s Society of the Parish of Cockett

     who meet at 7.00pm for 7.30pm on the second Monday of each month between September and

     June at Sketty Club Eversley Rd, Sketty.


We are a group of approximately 40 men who enjoy talks from local people on a wide variety of topics

of local and national interest, ranging from the First World War to Birds and Garden Wildlife and The

Life of a Sea Pilot to The Work of Water Aid. In addition we enjoy visits to places of interest and hold

       an annual Christmas Dinner.


Following presentations by the speakers, the group enjoy a chat and social interaction over a glass of

      refreshments.


The club also raises a significant amount of money through raffles and each year support up to seven

       local and national charities nominated by members.

             

    The club’s officers meet during each summer break to arrange the programme for the ensuing year     and       when ratified, details will be posted here on this website.

                October 10th - Rev John Walters - The poet who walked & cycled around Swansea

                November 14th - The Rt Rev John Davis, Bishop of Swansea & Brecon

                                             "justice,wisdom, mercy & rehabilitation.".

                                                             Prompt start at 7pm.

                 December 12th - Christmas dinner at Sketty Club.

                 January 9th - A visit to Swans academy at Landore 6.30pm  (prov). Buffet.

                 February 13th - Phil Andrews  on " The Blues."

                 March 13th - Rev Keith Evans - The Bells of Santiago.

                 April 3rd - John Ashley - Buffalo Bill in Swansea.

                 May 8th - AGM at Sketty Club.

                 June 12th - Royal Mint Experience at Llantrisant followed by traditional end of season meal.

                                    Unless otherwise stated all meetings will start at 19:00 for 19:30
