Ladies Thursday Club - Autumn 2017
We meet at 7.30 in the church vestry of St Peter's Church, ladies pay £2 per meeting
this includes refreshments and a raffle draw. All ladies are welcome to join us.

Cockett Mother`s Union
Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month at 2.30pm.
They are held in the vestry hall at St Peter`s church, visitors and new members can be guaranteed a warm welcome.
St Illtyd's Ladies Guild
We meet every Wednesday evening in St Illtyd's hall at 2.30pm,
Please come along and join us we are a friendly group and usually have a speaker. We always have a chat and a warming cup of coffee or tea.

Keys Club Meeting - (Men’s Group)
The Key’s Club, which was formed in 1962, is the Men’s Society of the Parish of Cockett who meet at on the second Monday of each month between September and June at the Sketty Club, Eversley Road, Sketty.
We are a group of approximately 40 men who enjoy talks from local people on a wide variety of topics of local and national interest, ranging from the First World War to Birds and Garden Wildlife and The Life of a Sea Pilot to The Work of Water Aid. In addition we enjoy visits to places of interest and hold an annual Christmas Dinner.
Following presentations by the speakers, the group enjoy a chat and social interaction over a glass of refreshments and throughout the year, our members raise a significant amount of money for local and national charities, so why not join us this winter.
The club’s officers meet during each summer break to arrange the programme for the ensuing year and when ratified, details are posted here on this website.
Unless otherwise stated all meetings will start at 19:00 for 19:30.

Club Programme 2017/18
Traditionally each September, our journey starts with a Eucharist Service, this year at St. Paul's Church in Sketty, and each member is being encouraged to bring a friend not merely to swell our numbers but to join in the fellowship enjoyed by so many down the years.
Sept 11: Eucharist Service at St. Paul's in Sketty conducted by the Rev Robert Davies-Hannen followed by fish and chip supper at the Sketty Club. Please contact John Burgum if you are attending.
Oct 9: Jeff Prangle's illustrated talk on the History of Railways in the Swansea Area.
Nov 13: "Got any gum chum?". A power point presentation by John Powell on American GI’s in Swansea and Gower during WW2.
Jan 8: Hamilton - An American Mystery with Paul Richards.
Feb 12: George Edwards on Brian Clough: The man I knew.
Mar 12: John Ashley - Swansea Aviation Pioneers.
Apr 9: An illustrated talk on projects in Tanzania - Alan Cram.
May 14: AGM at the Sketty Club.
